Cletes D. Minton

	Cletes D. Minton, age 95, of Pinckneyville, died in the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville on Saturday, September 14, 2002.
	Cletes was born on April 15, 1907 in Thebes,  the son of Ralph and Della Ann (Erwin) Minton.  He married Lois A. Quinn on November 12, 1939 and she preceded him in death on July 14, 2002.  Cletes served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked as a Track Foreman for the Missouri Pacific Railroad.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pinckneyville and a lifetime member of the V.F.W.
	He is survived by a niece Dorothy Eggemeyer and husband Raynold of Chester; a nephew, Donald Minton and wife Jackie of Carbondale; a special caregiver, Bernice Kellerman of Pinckneyville and numerous other relatives and friends.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife  and two brothers, Loyd E. Minton and O.W. Minton.
	Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 17  at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with Rev. James Bush officiating.  Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park in DuQuoin.
	Visitation was held on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until services at the Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home.
